OBAMA WILL PLAY HARDBALL WITH ISRAEL

Aaron Miller, an Arab Israeli negotiations advisor under six secretaries of state suggests that Obama will not give in to Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu over the settlements. Miller suggests further that the Presidents popularity, combined with Israels need for U.S  support over a potential fight with Iran, makes the Obama hard line stance a matter of intrigue. The president heads to Egypt today for his first talk to the Middle East on Thursday. This approach may be a radical departure from our previous presidents who have not been able to get Israel to budge on matters such as relinquishing the settlements which Israel fears puts them at risk of safety. .Stay tuned.
