Wall street is an incestual place.  Gretchen Morgenson had a great piece in The Times yesterday about the links between The Street and The Fed.  Interesting tidbit that I did not know:  the NY fed is a private institution paid for and managed by wall street.  They select their own regulators!

Are Bankers as Creative as Creatives?


If you take away bonuses, all the bankers are going to do is get creative with compensation.  The same way they got creative with credit default swaps.  Although, Morgan's clawback policies are a step in the right direction.  Go Johnny Mack!!
