40 years ago today, half a million people with a collective conscience drove to Max Yagsurs farm in Woodstock NY for a three day festival of sex drugs and rock n roll. It has been said that this festival did not epitomize 1969 but was only a reprieve from it. A moment where the people did it THEIR way.
Without the inner city violence, the racial violence, Vietnam. Three days of some of the greatest musical rock n roll acts to ever grace one stage together. The story of Woodstock is worth checking out. The famous documentary "Woodstock" is epic. Check it out.
