Peter Orszag, Obama's Direoctor of the Office of Management and Budget, spoke today at the Council of Foreign Relations. Shock and Awesome was there to hear Orszags brief talk about how patience is needed with the recession, cough cough, we meant "downturn" as Orszag liked to say.
As for health care, orszag reminded us that the need to have the ability to try things out and be versatile and quick to make adjustments is the only way to break the monotonous chain of a system we all agree does not work well. For more on Orszags thoughts and the Q n A that followed listen to TJ and the TUX on Shock and Awesome , Friday 10am on www.eastvillageradio.com
