President Obama, playing it cool, playing it smart, has allowed the Iranian post election drama to play out without inflaming anti West ant american sentiment by not voicing a strong opinion against the leadership in Iran. "We are bearing witness " is his way of telling the protesters that he and the world see what is happening and that they are not alone. Who doesn't support those trying to fight their way out of oppression? It's moments like these that we entrusted this president with the proper leadership, perspective and ability to use the proper wording that show both empathy and a value of principles. This president is not perfect in any way. His handling of every issue on America's plate right now will not bring success to everything. However you gotta be confident that the Obama team will handle this delicate matter in Tehran with intelligent and timely responses.
