THE HUBERT HUMPHREY PRESIDENTIAL MUSEUM HAS BEEN FOUND!

Sort of. Or should I say it was Lady Bird who gave Hubert a glass display on the LBJ museum's top floor in Austin, Texas. Humphrey, a fiercely loyal VP to the increasingly unpopular Johnson lost the 1968 presidency to Richard Nixon. His loyalty to LBJ, coupled with 3rd party racist candidate George Wallace, Johnsons Vietnam policies, and Johnson's inaction after the 1968 DNC riots furthered helped sink Hubert. He ran again in '72 and was tempted to again in '76, before succumbing to cancer in 1978. click here.
