THE TROUBLE WITH SENATOR DODD's POSITION STEMS FROM PUBLIC ANGER AND MISTRUST

The position Senator Dodd (Democrat, CT) is in, is a tough one. Dodd has been in the news for being one of those in DC who supported AIG bonus mone. Dodd claims that banning bonuses at coporations could have been challenged legally and that had  he known AIG would have then handed out hearty bonuses to their own, he would've rejected it completely. Hmmm.

Now Tim Geitner supports Dodd's position that a bonus ban could've been a  legal quandry. But let's put it in street terms. Main st is broke, out of work, angry,  and distrustful. Dodd may have a point but the government has to stop saying "had I known" and start considering how Main st will take the news of future decisions as much as fear how greedy corporate brats will. . click here
