NETANYAHU MAY ENDORSE PALESTINIAN STATE

Obama this, Obama that. Say what you want about Obama softening the U.S. The Huffington post reports today that the Israeli PM may endorse a Palestinian state. If the Israeli hard liner actually DOES endorse a Palestinian state, the ball may not only be in the Palestinians court, but will become the 1st notch in Obama's foreign policy belt. Whether or not Hamas and the Palestinian community will be able to take a potential Israeli endorsement and make some concessions of their own, ending up with less land than they imagine during the bargaining process, is another story. Either way, Obama haters must hate this. The potential success of the man they claim is all star power and no backbone.

Unfortunately in addition, Netanyahu haters in the form of extermist Israelis may be born and pose a threat to the PM's life. One can't help but be reminded of Yitzhak Rabin , the former PM who was assasinated by a killer opposed to Rabins signing of the Oslo Accords in 1994. The accords were an initial agreement during the Clinton era, designed to lead the area towards a two state solution. One also has to wonder whether this is a political ploy to oust Ahmadinijead in Iran as Iranian elections near. By accepting a two state solution, Ahmadinijeads viral attacks of the Jewish state has less weight under it.

Trivia: Who made Rabin and PLO leader Yasser Arafat shake hands for the media? Then Clinton staffer and currently top Obama cabinet member Rahm Emanuel.
