New York State is seriously considering putting toll booths on the east river to pay for the MTA's 1.2B debt. Not a new idea at all, but still a bad one. Think about the traffic issues as everyone has to make it through the toll. The east side will look like the holland tunnel all day. Weiner says put the toll up but only none city residents have to pay - those are ideas that earn you a shot at becoming mayor. Read here.
