IF THE 2ND AMENDMENT WAS CREATED TODAY, NOT OVER 200 YEARS AGO

If The right to bear arms, our 2nd amendment, originated today, it probably wouldn't be on account of keeping the federal government in check, or protecting one's home from intruders.
By the looks of things in our culture, here are some reasons those in favor of gun laws must be in undying support of owning a gun. The shooting death of former football star Steven Mcnair, possibly a murder suicide Saturday has brought upon a new reflection on the subject.

APPARENT SOCIETAL REASONS FOR UPHOLDING THE 2ND AMENDMENT:
1-To initiate murder suicides
2- To shoot oneself in the leg at dance clubs (Plaxico Burress)
3-To shoot former work mates, and blindly cold heartedly kill innocent victims after being fired.
(Binghamton, alabama)
4-To hunt people for fun with rifles (remember Lee Boyd Malvo?)
5-To shoot ex spouses or boyfriends/girlfriends during fits of anger (anywhere any time of day here in the U.S)
6-To shoot fellow students randomly out of anger for being teased and not accepted (Columbine)
7-To shoot women who ask "what are you gonna do , shoot me? (Lower East Side 2007)
8-To accidentally and not so accidentally shoot friends and family members (Phil Spector)
9-To shoot and kill stars on drive bys for retribution and to settle personnal differences. (Notorious BIG, Tupac)
10-To allow those too young to drink the right to own automatic weapons without looking into their anger management skills, potentially difficult home lives, alcohol or drug problems or ability to control the apparatus, solely for profit. (all day any day in the U.S)

It's all fun and games until some gets shot in the head and hey, for the record, we don't see the King of England as a threat anymore. Guns should be awarded to those who pass more of a test than simply having some loose cash in their wallets.
