NEWS ANCHOR LEGEND WALKER CRONKITE 1916-2009

The "Most Trusted Man in America " as Americans called him in 1972, perhaps the greatest TV news anchor in US history has passed away. It's a sad day for those who grew up with this class acts' take on major world events. Cronkite's tearful composure in broadcasting to the world that JFK was dead is one of the more unforgettable moments in television history. Class and dignity. Two words that define the essence of the guy who presided over Vitenam night in and night out, reported to  us that "The Eagle Has Landed" when Apollo reached the moon, framed the Iran Hostage story from beginning to end. RIP Walter. Great job in setting the template for so many who have followed you with so few who will ever reach the heights you obtained in the news business. read article
