Obama spoke today as the G8 Summit wound down, telling the press that international unity and recognition that Iran leadership's handling of the protesters has been wrong , was the goal. Sanctions were never wanted by the leaders of the G8. Obama also said that both the G8 and U.N, older international collectives, need review and reform in order to optimize their potentials.
