MCCAIN CAMP EXPLAINS PALIN VETTING PROCESS

Calling Sarah Palin "high risk high reward," AB Culvahouse, the attorney given the job of vetting Palin said he came away "thoroughly impressed." Obviously knowing they needed a longball, her selection was done with the notion that the upside was as great as the downside. The end result was that Palin DID provide an intial boost to the GOP but in the end, may have caused an equal amount of drop. However, the truth is, there was probably no stopping Obama , the "change" message, and the mood of a nation throughly unhappy with the Bush years and where the country under Republican guidance, was heading.
