Hee hee hee, good one Barack. OK we're no geopolitical experts of any Kissinger proportions. We're not morons either. Vladamir Putin, the former President now PM, calls the shots in Russia. Period. When Putin steps down as PM that's when I'll safely believe that someone else is running the show in Russia. That said, the key to U.S Russian relations is once again trust. A trust that Putin ran away with in his later years as President. If adding Medvedev to the mix in Russia helps regain the trust between us and them, then great. Keep in mind, yesterday's dance was a show of unity. It was NOT a substantive gathering that left the U.S with it's primary goal of anti missile defense in Europe. Thats because the old school KGB mindset of Putin, still in the back of his mind, fears that those missiles will be turned on Russia. The Cold War will never die easily.
