3 HIKERS DETAINED BY IRAN

The Swiss are trying to get involved and mediate the 3 hikers detained by Iran for illegally entering the country through the Kurdish Region. The U.S and Iran don not have diplomatic relations. This of course brings to mind the Iran hostage crisis
of 1979 where 53 American were held for 444 days in 1979. Those who get caught in places where we are trying to gain the geo political edge, if the potential for a problem was not thought out, is assanine. Here we are waiting to let the protests on the streets of Tehran play out as the world works on how to deal with a nuclear Iran , then the State dept gets this. great.
